A well-paid career option: become a Personal Protection Officer (i.e.
Bodyguard)
Protecting the likes of movie stars, political leaders and big shots
of all types is big business these days. It's risky and pays well if
you qualify. With your basic training from CSPIS, you'll have a good
foundation to explore this challenging career path. You might consider
it if you can
• Put the safety of your client before your own
• Detect threats to your client's safety before anything actually happens
• Drive aggressively but safely to get your client out of harm's way
• Keep quiet about your client's private life (or your career will
be short)
• Say no when asked to do something that's just too dangerous
• Wait around for long periods doing nothing
• Provide First Aid
• Handle some weapons
• Subdue or control dangerous persons legally
Additional training may be necessary to qualify.
Would you rather learn the police foundations from
a law enforcement-specialist career college or a business college?
CSPIS's Police Foundations program may give an edge
even over other police foundations programs from business career
colleges. Our strong emphasis on all elements of law enforcement
serves as a preparation for candidates wishing to continue on this
career path at the municipal, provincial or federal level. More>>
