Dual License Training

Fast-Track with a Dual License

Security guards and private investigators are both licensed to perform their work, but the type of work they do is different. There are three types of licensed individuals. Those licensed as security guards; those licensed as private investigators; and those who hold a “dual” license as both a private investigator and a security guard.

Security guards provide general protection and oversight. They respond to threats and emergencies, keep people safe, and protect property. They often work in teams, providing coverage as a site requires, based on size, numbers of people and schedule requirements.

Private investigators are far more pro-active in that they investigate issues and concerns before they become threats. Often working independently, private investigators conduct matters including potential corporate thefts, injury claims, domestic cases, surveillance and fraud-related investigations. Private investigators use their talent and skills to help client collect information and fact in the most discreet and sensitive manner possible.
