Definitions

The Canadian School of Private Investigation and Security Ltd. (herein referred to as CSPIS) is committed to responsible and accountable privacy practices as they pertain to the collection and use of information gathered in the normal course of our interaction with students or prospective students, employers or prospective employers, and/or the public as a whole, which are referred to herein as the Consumer.
To that end, any information gathered by us at any time will be used solely to provide you, the consumer, with the experience, information, product or services you require while interacting with us. CSPIS pledges not to share, sell or divulge any information about you to any third party at any time, unless required do so by law.
Breadth of This Policy
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes our privacy policy for collection and use of personal information through our website or via electronic communication including emails communication. Our privacy policies are governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, 2000 (PIPEDA). Ultimately, PIPEDA supersedes and governs over any contrary provisions in this Policy. This Policy does not cover any employees, faculty, contractors, consultants, or agents of CSPIS.

By virtue of using our site, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of personal information, as outlined herein. If consent is not provided for the collection of your information, you may not use this site.

Any individual has the right at any time to request that the entirety of information gathered about or in relation to that individual by CSPIS be expunged or deleted. If such a request is made, the requestor understands that CSPIS may not be able to continue to provide available information or services which may be dependent on the requisite information.

- Information Voluntarily Provided
Any information you freely provide to us is collected by CSPIS. This voluntarily provided information is used to provide you with the information, services and/or products you may have requested. We retain the right to contact you via contact information freely provided in order to convey to you answers to any questions or requests submitted by you to CSPIS. You can request to ‘opt-out’ of all future contact from us at anytime by calling (844) 645-4468 or emailing admissions@cspis.com. We retain the right to use the information gathered through our site to improve our services and to better understand the needs and interests of our clientele. We also retain the right to remove identifiable information from data collected and use the remaining data for historical, statistical, or analytical purposes.

CSPIS collects information that is sentautomatically by your web browser. This information may include the IP address of your ISP, the name of your operating system (such as Windows® or Mac OS X®), and the name and version of your browser (such as Netscape® or Internet Explorer®). The information we receive depends on the settings on your web browser.The information provided by your browser does notpersonally identify you. If you access our site through an e-mail we have sent you or have created a “user identity” by creating a user account during one of your visits, this information may be linked to information that identifies you personally. We use this information analyze usage patterns, which help us improve our site and improve the general user experience.
